The good (1-8), the bad (9-12), and the ugly (13): I'm no longer young, but I'm not old either. Self-confidence--I have never struggled with insecurity, but even so, at 35, I feel very secure and at peace with who I am. Many people who are younger seem to just be hitting their groove. Thirty-five years of knowledge that I can share with others. I can't help myself, But I have learned that there are times when I should keep my mouth shut, so I do. Thirteen years of growing together in marriage, parenting, love and friendship with the same man . . . .who will always be one year OLDER than me. Having different things in common with so many women: some older, some younger, and some right with me. I have more natural highlights in my hair. Well, that's what I like to call them. The eyes are starting to go. And there are more wrinkles (I mean character) around them. - My doctor, pediatrician, and dentist are all younger than me.
I hate to break the news about the thirty-five year old crazies. Something happens. Mood swings, crying--it's not PMS, it's not menopause or pregnancy, but there's some sort of hormonal change. My (slightly older) friend assured me that was the issue when I went from being very rational and calm to sort of weepy and weird (much like post-baby feelings actually). Actually, there is no "ugly." At 35, I feel as good (or better) about myself than I ever have. Not that I care about "Hollywood," but many celebreties are 35 or older--Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston (and the whole Friends crew), Sandra Bullock, even Cindy Crawford and Brooke Shields. All beautiful women.

Ahhh.... to be 35 again! I see that as just about the perfect age now.
I like your list - welcome to Thursday Thirteen! :) I like to remind my husband that he'll always be a year older than me, too! I'm not looking forward to the 35-year-old crazies, but everything else sounds manageable.
You sound fabulously happy... and that is so nice to hear.
Good for you. This is a great attitude to carry you into your 80s. Put on sun-screen and add a few pounds, and you won't need to worry about wrinkles. lol
Thanks for visiting my TT.
ahh to be that self confident!! you sound wonderfull happy and secure with yourself, love this list!! Thanks for visiting my blog!
35 is my next birthday. I guess I"ll survive. :)
At think at 35 you can still consider yourself young... no? And believe me, I say this with some authority, having celebrated my 35th a few years ago!
My doctor and dentist are still both older than me, but it’s only a matter of time!
Happy TT!
I've got a year on you myself and I have to agree that there is something very settled and confident about the age we're entering in to.
Great post and thanks for dropping by mine!
Good outlook! I'm coming up right behind you - 32.
Funny! I found that at thirty-five, the highs are higher and unfortunately the lows are lower. But it's been a really great ride thus far!
I remember 35 and I can relate to most of these - but wait until you hit 40.
Wait! It's not all bad. *grin*
... I still feel 35, does that count? and I like to think I still look 35, too. (shhh... don't disillusion me!)
I married my Birthday Twin and what stinks is that he is 23 minutes younger than me!! He enjoys those 23 minutes each year by plugging the "old lady" jokes. Great list. -Margie
LOL great list. :) But 35 is NOT old. You're just getting started. :)
I laughed at your husband's age. My husband is one year older than me and I always say he's over the hill, whereas I'm just climbing, no matter what his age.
LOL My husband will always be 8 years older than me, I love it :) Hopefully I'll calm down, at almost 28 I'm freaking right now.
Well, 35 has come and gone for me, but I can relate to almost every one of these. Once I hit 40, I'm starting to notice the thing with the eyes!
Great list, I played too!
Nice list! The 30s are supposed to be the new 20s... look at Hollywood. I tell that to my boyfriend. I also make fun of him because he is five years older than me and 30... so what do I know?
Hellooo to another '35'er! I like it, but all the sudden people are younger than us, it's weird!
Yep, feels the same in the early 40s too...lol, thanks for dropping by Bloggin' Outloud's T13. lgp
Great list! I'm 30, but can relate to a lot of this already. My dh is 3 and 1/2 years older than me, so I will always be the young one too :)
Neat - things to look forward to...in just 3 years. Gak. Thanks for stopping by my T13
I'm not quite there, I will be 34 this September. I've always wanted to be 40, thinking that at that age I will have "arrived". Hopefully I'll still feel that way when I get there! Great TT list!
I'm filing that away for when I turn 35... next year. Great post!
I hate when my doctors, dentists, etc are younger than me. Worse yet is when they're good looking. You should have seen the intern who helped deliver my baby! OMG! LOL!
Something to look forward to. I'm enjoying 22 so far, aside from that whole getting-settled thing. I am not very settled yet.
I said my life began at 40, so it's just uphill for you now! ;)
Happy Thursday!
#13 was an awesome ending. I like your optimism, it's most refreshing. I'm 40 but I never really think about my age. I'm young at heart and that's what matters to me. :)
Have a terrific Thursday! And thanks for stopping by my T13 today, much appreciated.
P.S. My "word verification" was: imzfunw (I'm z fun one) [heh]
It is kind of funny, when I turned 30 I was devestated that I was no longer a 20 something woman anymore.. By the time I turned 31 I was just grateful that I was still alive ..lol I like the fact that I am getting a lot wiser as I get older.
thanks for visiting my blog. it's nice to meet you.
LOL! I'll be 34 in a couple weeks! I'm the older woman. My husband is 2wks. younger than me! My eyes aren't too bad, I'm starting to see more laugh lines (wrinkles), so I must be having some great times! I do feel great, starting to feel my age a little!
Hope you're having a great Thursday!
Good List, I can relate! I will be 35
in 2 years and I already see some of
that happening!
How funny you mentioned your doctor and dentist are younger than you...I noticed the same thing recently and it freaked me out. It seems everyone is getting younger than me. Who said that could happen?
Great list...scary though since 35 is only a few months away for me!! Yikes!
Welcome to T13. At 46 I look at each day as an adventure- that way I am looking outward and with anticipation. Be blessed.
Good to know it's not the end of the world that people seem to think it is going to be. I get weepy now though. I hope it doesn't get worse at 35!
