Autoposting on Blogger

Well, you're right, there's no way to set Blogger to post things that you have previously written and want to publish on future dates.

I was going to be without web access for almost a week, and didn't want to just disappear off the blogosphere for that time. I usually have a couple of posts that are in progress as a draft, so I got those ready to go, and dated them when I wanted them to post.

I gave a friend my blogger log in and password and she published when the dates came up. Voila! Autoposting on Blogger!

Go over to Rocks in My Dryer and see what other handy tips people are posting today.

Oh man, Jennifer! I thought you were going to have the code to break this :( Now I just need to find a friend to post for me. It seems like Blogger would have this, you know?

Ah, that works! I love my auto-posting, don't know what I'd do without it! Have a great Wednesday - our WFMW tip is up as well!

Yes, I will be doing the same thing if/when we go on vacation. I just don't like the thought of my blog sitting alone and abandoned for an entire week. I do wish Blogger would get with the program and incorporate auto-posting. And TrackBack. And an easy way to back up... Oh well, I can dream.

Yes, that is a good idea.

When I went on vacation recently, I thought about letting a friend who wanted to try blogging "blog-sit" for me, but in the end I just left.

Maybe next time.

Ah, here I was all excited about learning how to schedules posts to publish automatically. Denied! Why doesn't Blogger have auto posting if other blog engines do?! If someone cracks the code, let me know. :)

I've also posted a WFMW (alternate use for a pot rack) tip. Stop by and take a peek. :)

What a great idea. I had my sister fill in for me when I was out of the country for 2 weeks...and that helped. But I love your idea! The hard part would be working on all the drafts ahead of time.

That is cute and what a great friend. But I agree, you would think there would be a code or something you could place in the template or something. I need to ask my daughter and her boyfriend about this. Have a great rest of the week!
