Well, it speaks volumes in and of itself. But I just got back Amanda's third grade pictures, and I realized that in when both of these pictures were taken, we were each exactly eight years old.
Notice her closed-lipped smile. Perhaps a little discretion in those awkward years is a good thing.

Camden does these close-mouthed non-smiles for school pictures now; he says he's trying to look "older." He comes across as very, very serious.

E-mom asked about my hair--it's not red, and wasn't really red in that picture, but I did notice that. It's a combination of an OLD picture fading somewhat, and yes, I do have some auburn highlights.
What a fun idea! And should I confess I was 10 in 1978? Too late, just did!
