What will you find when you come to visit me here at Snapshot?
I'm a pretty straight-forward person. I try to be honest, I try to be interesting. I'll admit that I can be a little bit free with my "humble" opinion. I try to be funny, but I'm not successful at that all that often. Here are some links from the last couple of months that you can check out to get to know me a bit better. In spite of the fact that I'm a self-proclaimed know-it-all, I think of blogging as a conversation, and so I welcome comments to add to the discussion, give encouragement or even disagree.
I know I'm not perfect and I blog a good deal about what I am NOT (a good disciplinarian, a good athlete, a sophisticated lady, a gentle and quiet soul), but I also love to share that which I truly appreciate: writing, friendship, and a good cup of coffee.
Sometimes I'm a little advice-y, but I seem to get the most positive feedback on these kinds of posts: I Said Yes, When to Quit, What Are you Waiting For?
I love books in general. Something that I read often prompts me to write. I like to review books that I've especially enjoyed, especially those that are off the beaten path. I also enjoy reading with my children (and occasionally reviewing children's books).
I enjoy studying and applying the Bible.
Thanks for stopping by. If you like what you see, feel free to use one of the links towards the top of the sidebar to subscribe via bloglines or feedblitz (right to your email).
In the name of being a great host, I've taken Lani's advice, and turned off comment verification. I am SO bad at it myself. So, hopefully that will make it easier for you to let me know you dropped by. If it goes okay this week, then I may leave it off for all of my regular visitors. You know, you should be as hospitable to good friends and family as you are to visitors!
