I'm writing at Faithlifts today about Who is in Control? Similar to my thoughts on Fear and Security earlier this week, I address why self-control is not always what we should be striving for. Check it out.
I've been thinking on this topic recently. Ever since my car was diagnosed with transmission problems. The particular problem leaves me in four-wheel drive all the time, which puts stress on the axels when I take sharp turns. So, can you picture me trying to control the amount of sharp turns I take? It's completely unwieldy. As it is completely unwieldy to try to control every aspect of our lives. (Surely, this is the stuff of a future blog post.)
Anyway, yes, control by God in our personal lives is a safer, gentler place to be.

Must be a God-thing (LOL) because I had a post today entitled "Whose control are YOU under?"
