I'm so excited to welcome you to this event.
There's safety in numbers, and accountability is a good thing, so I'm quite sure that by the end of April, we will all be able to pat ourselves on the back for the extra attention we gave our children this month.
And if not, there's always next month, right?
If you need more information, check out the Read Together 2009 post, but basically all you have to do is write up a post sharing your specific (and challenging) goals to read to and/or with your children.
On April 30, I'll publish another linky for you to post your results sometime that week. Two participants who publish their goals by April 5 and their results by May 3 will win a prize.
Feel free to grab the big button here to use in your own post, or you can use this smaller one. You can also put it in your sidebar as well as a reminder that you are committing to Read Together this month.

Thank you so much for organizing this challenge! Camden's excited about us reading together and I think it'll be great for all of us!
Thanks for reminding me. I drafted my post over a week ago! =)
You've lured me in! Thanks for hosting this, it's a great idea to always be thinking about how much more I could be reading with my children-- even when I might be reluctant to stop doing all the other daily things to sit down and read, once we get going together, I never regret it. :)
I'm comin' back tomorrow morning to post my goals! Since we read outloud all the time (and he's only 2) I didn't think I could really find a good reason to participate. However, you said to stretch ourselves and so I thought about it and now I Have A Plan. ;) So I'm workin' on it and will have it together by tomorrow! THANKS for the encouragement to stretch. I think it's time . . .
A day late, but I'm here. :)
Thanks for hosting! Sorry I am a day late!
This is such a wonderful idea. I read all the time, and I do read to my son but mostly at bedtime. I'm looking forward to expanding our time reading together!
I love this! I'll try to be back to link up. We've been making an effort with reading together and I'd love to share more about it. =)
I am so excited about this challenge...I have been wanting to read more with "Cheeky" and this is the perfect kick start!!!
Sorry I haven't gotten around to posting on my blog how we've done. I thought this was a great challenge and a fun and educational way to connect with my little guy. We've been working on the reading and comprehension every day and we're seeing slow and steady progress...and we're enjoying some great together time in the process!!
