"Mom, why are you taking a picture of Kyle, sleeping?" Amanda asked as I snapped a photo of Kyle when he fell asleep in his car seat at the beginning of our weekend trip last Friday.
"Because he's growing up. Who knows when it will be the last time he'll fall asleep so soundly in the car," I thought, but did not say.

They do grow up fast.
My five-year-old still does this and I love it (and take pictures for the same reason).

Aw -- adorable! Neither of my kids have been good car sleepers past the age of about 1, but yes -- all those "last times" are so bittersweet, and it's good to catch them.
Happy birthday, Kyle!! We also celebrated a birthday May 27 - Will turned 6. You are so right! I don't remember the last time he slept that soundly in the car. :(

My third son, now 11, always (ALWAYS) falls asleep in the car. My youngest NEVER did, not even as an infant when we wanted/needed him to!
