Call Guiness -- He lost a tooth.

On Friday, at the age of 6 years and almost 5 months, Kyle lost his first tooth.  I'm thinking that we should go in the record books.

There's some serious crowding going on there, and the permanent tooth had already started coming in.  Hopefully some of the others will start to wiggle.

Don't call just yet....Hannah turned 6 in May too and she lost her first tooth on Christmas Day. Michael is 13 and he still has 6 more to loose. Every kid is different. Tell Kyle Congratulations!!!!

Yup, my oldest is a late-toother kind of guy, too. He lost his first tooth in May of his first grade year at 6 years and 9 months old! He's ten now, and has only lost 8 teeth, so he's still got a ways to go. :)

Have you seen the book "Throw Your Tooth on the Roof: Tooth Traditions from Around the World?" It's a cute book, and we use the last page's huge illustration of all the teeth to record the dates of each loss. Check it out!

Congratulations! =D

I'm wondering exactly when it will begin for us. I'm HOPING not for at least another year because I think we'll have a freak-out moment (boy, not mommy) and I'm not sure how to prep him for it. =)

Congrats! I tell all my students I didn't lose a tooth until I was 8 and in third grade! Love the Arthur loose tooth book and Bertie's Picture Day for more literary tooth fun.

Yeah, C. was also 6 and in 1st grade. He was sure it would "never" happen... Curious to see when L. will start to lose his teeth, since he was late getting the first ones in, too.

Isn't it fun when it finally happens?! At six years, one month, my daughter finally FINALLY lost a tooth. Which was fantastic because it ended all the whining about how all of her friends had lost not just one, but multiple teeth, and why OH WHY hadn't she? My son is almost ten months and still no teeth, so I think the poor kid will be on the same path as sis.
