You have to "know that you know" that what you are doing is a calling, whether or not our socity ever recognizes it as having value. Just like Christ came, not to be served, but to serve - it doesn't seem to make sense. But oh, the power!

Thanks for sharing your story.Katherine@Raising Fivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12887240362516586161noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24945617.post-1150385863393949752006-06-15T11:37:00.000-04:002006-06-15T11:37:00.000-04:00Well - one more area where you and I are similar. ...Well - one more area where you and I are similar. I had the same feelings as you about career/jobs/etc. and I remember feeling *really* ready to get pregnant in part because I hated and felt so unfulfilled in my job(s). Now that I am dealing with my second baby, I realize even more that this is where I'm meant to be. Although I've always known this is what I wanted to do, I feel even more secure and confirmed in this "life path" that I'm on.Katrina @ Callapidder Dayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06502432103160398620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24945617.post-1150385331867331162006-06-15T11:28:00.000-04:002006-06-15T11:28:00.000-04:00Good thoughts as usual, Jennifer. I do think being a mom is a high calling, higher than it is made out to be. It makes me sad that it's not given the priority it warrants sometimes. I think a lot of girls are frustrated because they've grown up thinking "what do I want to be" and encouraged very little in the family area. Not to knock careers but I think this just explains why a lot of girls just can't seem to find a job that suits them.Diannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08168170797649139322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24945617.post-1150385259943484452006-06-15T11:27:00.000-04:002006-06-15T11:27:00.000-04:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Diannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08168170797649139322noreply@blogger.com
